Caronavirus  (Covid-19) Update

Hi All,

As you will all be well aware the Coronavirus situation continues to escalate and as a Club we have to be responsible and help to prevent the spread of this disease.

The Club is asking if parents can please bring any spare liquid soap that they may have the next time they attend the Club.

Can ALL players, parents, visitors and coaches adhere to the following instructions:

1.   Please thoroughly wash their hands ON ENTERING the Draycott Table Tennis Club premises

2.   Please avoid wiping their hands on OR making contact with our fleet of table tennis tables.

3.   Please avoiding touching, slapping or shaking hands with all players, coaches and parents

4.   Anyone with flu-like symptoms should avoid the risk of spreading their infection by staying at home and

The Club has decided in conjunction with the Over 50’s Group to cancel until further notice all the Over 50’s sessions (Monday Mornings, Wednesday Afternoons and Friday mornings) with effect from after the Monday session on 16th March 2020.

The Club will also cancel its General Club nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday nights with effect from after Wednesday 18th March 2020 until further notice UNLESS you have League match which will continue to be played as there are only a couple of weeks of League matches left to play however events may change for us the review as to whether League matches may also be cancelled. (see note below)

Those players who arrive at the Club and DO NOT have a League match will be turned away.

PLEASE NOTE: Derby League Suspension

Due to the closure of venues in the wake of coronavirus concerns, we have taken the decision to suspend all league and cup matches until further notice.

The Derby Closed Part 2 is also cancelled (for now) but we may try to hold it later in the year.

The Presentation Evening is cancelled but we will still aim to hold the AGM on Wed 13 May (unless we are prevented from holding it anywhere).

We regret having to take this action but the unprecedented, and worsening, circumstances have left us with little choice.
